Blepharoplasty does not necessarily require hospitalization. It is a light procedure, performed under sedation, and once the sedation wears off, the patient can fully regain consciousness and strength. One or two hours after the procedure, the patient can go home.
Only the time for observation and recovery from the sedation administered during the procedure is needed. The eyes function perfectly, and they can be voluntarily opened and closed, so the patient can return home if accompanied. Alternatively, they may choose to stay a night in a bed and breakfast near the clinic.
Upon request, we can also arrange for the patient to stay in the clinic to ensure greater security during the immediate post-operative period, but this is a voluntary choice. It is not necessary, as long as there is the ability to handle every situation, especially for those coming from abroad.
